Struggling to measure talent data? Whether you are an HR executive presenting the business case for culture interventions or an instructional designer assessing the impact of leadership training, TD professionals are expected to use data to drive organizational results. But how do you measure soft concepts like leader effectiveness or talent flight risk?

In this session, you'll learn simple techniques to transform "intangible" talent concepts into actionable metrics. You don't need a statistics degree or a data scientist to create metrics to improve performance and drive results! Discover how you can measure talent processes, people capabilities, and training impacts so you can be a strategic partner for your organization's leadership.

Data & Analytics Fundamentals for Talent Development Workshop

Data & Analytics is the weakest capability area in our profession, and the inability to present data-backed insights limits our ability to make the business case for our work. Now is the time to develop your skills so your team isn't left out of critical business decisions!

This interactive workshop is designed to jump-start your people data journey. Participants will assess their department's analytics maturity, practice defining metrics for talent-related topics, generate ideas to leverage existing data sources, and explore data visualization and communication techniques.

This interactive workshop is designed for:

  • Talent development/OD/HR leaders who are eager to help their organizations start their people analytics journey
  • Practitioners who want to connect their work to real business impacts
  • Internal or external consultants who need to guide stakeholders in defining data-based business outcomes

No prior experience with data-driven analysis or business intelligence tools is needed. This workshop may be too basic for people who regularly work with BI tools or use predictive analytics to inform decisions.
